The new spiral freezers feature many hygienic features as standard, for example, a fully welded floor and open steel sections used for the framework. In addition, there are also options such as a fully welded and easily cleaned enclosure and advanced cleaning systems.

It is easily possible to integrate a SFT twin drum spiral freezer system in existing production lines. The new freezers not only combine the positive characteristics of other series in one modular concept: they also offer the benefits of numerous innovations – for example, optimized operator-friendly controls, and safety functions specially designed for operational conditions.

MAIN STRUCTURE OF TWIN DRUM SPIRAL FREEZER

  • Stainless steel conveyor belt

Food grade stainless steel conveyor belt has a much flatter and neat surface. On both sides of the conveyor belt, there have baffle edges which prevent the products from dropping down.

  • Insulation panels

The housing chamber is made of 150mm thick polyurethane-insulated sandwich panels, laminated both sides by stainless steel sheet.

  • Door

Thick polyurethane-insulated doors are equipped with double seals and frame heating system

  • Inner structure

The drum is designed in squirrel cage structure and the components on which touching with conveyor belt are in an arc shape. We inlaid the column bar of drum with ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene materials which have a good wear-resistance performance.

  • Driving device

Equipped with speed reducer and variable speed controller.

  • Fan evaporator

The frame structure of the evaporator and the axial fan are made of food high-grade stainless steel. The evaporator fins, evaporator tubes, and the fan blades are all made of aluminum alloy.

  • Belt tension device

We adopt floating axle weight as belt tension device. The tension degree of the conveyor belt is adjustable.

  • Water slot (water plate) and drainage design

The water slot, made of food-grade stainless steel, is installed on top of floor panels. The water slot has a proper slope to facilitate water discharging and avoid defrosting water penetrating into the floor panels.

  • Inlet device and outlet device

Both the inlet and outlet device are made of food-grade stainless steel.

  • Control panel

We adopt Siemens PLC and Schneider electrical components to secure smooth operation.

APPLICATIONS

The twin drum spiral freezer is suitable for freezing and chilling food that requires medium to long retention times, especially suitable for large or packaged products, such as poultry, pizza, ready meals, potato products, fish & seafood, desserts, bakery products, and ice-cream.

Notes:

  • 1. The nominal freezing capacity is rated on the basis of freezing fried chicken nuggets with standard density of 5.5 kg per square meter.
  • 2. The refrigeration capacity is rated on the basis on condensing temperature at +35℃ and evaporating temperature at -42℃.
  • 3. The freezing time is adjustable within 15~100 minutes which based on product inlet temperature at +50℃ and outlet core temperature at -18℃. The freezing time differs because of different products.
