Mobile Flake Ice Plant

SFT has the answer for customers who need flake ice plants that are easy to install and can be moved from place to place – a popular SFT mobile flake ice system installed in ISO standard shipping containers. These pre-assembled flake ice plants are easily transportable by flat truck or rail, making them particularly useful for operations in remote locations, or those that need to move ice-making facilities from one project site to another.

Each mobile flake ice plant combines a factory piped and wired SFT packed ice making unit and an automatic ice rake bin installed in separate containers. When the containers are combined, the ice maker drops the ice directly into the storage bin with the rake. The rake levels the ice in the container as it is made, using all available storage volume, and discharges it automatically when it is needed.

For the greatest ice making capacity, our system incorporates a containerized flake ice machine package with a containerized ice rake bin. The ice machine package and the rake are each housed in separate standardized shipping containers. In the field, the ice machine container is mounted on top of the storage container. This system can be configured with an external screw conveying system to a day tank or other use points.

SFT containerized ice rake systems are available in a number of configurations, and can also be designed for either screw conveyor or pneumatic delivery systems.

The mobile flake ice plant is a complete installation of the following equipment or systems:
Diesel generator (optional);
Insulated water tank (optional);
Water chilling unit (optional);
Flake ice maker units;
Refrigeration ice rake bin;
Ice delivery system (screw or pneumatic conveyor);
Ice crushing equipment.
