How the plate ice machine makes plate ice?
The plate ice machine adopts direct evaporation system. The stainless-steel ice evaporator plates are assembled in a vertical position. By our patent technology, the ice evaporator plates are assembled on both the front and back sides. In the mid of the evaporator plates, it's the refrigerant tunnel, in which the cold gas and hot gas are introduced to freeze the water or defrost the ice. On top of the ice evaporator, there has a water tunnel. The water is introduced to the water tunnel, and from there water is dispersed down along the ice evaporator plate, where the heat exchange happens. When the water slowly falls alongside the cold ice evaporator, the water is frozen into ice. And when the ice reaches a certain thickness, the system will change to defrost mode. During the process of defrosting, the hot gas is introduced to heat up the surface of the ice evaporator, when it's warm enough to melt the surface of the ice, the ice gravity drops down to the ice outlet. When complete the ice harvest process, the system automatically changes to start the next process of ice making.
